PROVE JESUS IS GOD – PROVE THAT JESUS IS LORD
This writing contains explanations based on various pieces of evidence regarding the divinity of Jesus Christ, or it can be said to elaborate on how Christians believe that Jesus is the Lord and, simultaneously, the true God. It is crafted to respond to those who criticize Christianity and cast doubt on the divinity of Jesus Christ, drawing from Biblical perspectives.
1. IS JESUS EQUAL TO THE FATHER?
Philippians 2:6-7 (NASB) He who existed in the form of God did not consider equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
JESUS is equal to the Father, evidence that He, Jesus, is indeed the Lord and God (YAHWEH) Himself.
2. TESTIMONIES REGARDING THE DIVINITY OF JESUS
Angelic Testimony:
Luke 2:10-11 (NASB) But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
The angel provides testimony about who JESUS is to the shepherds.
Testimonies of John the Baptist:
John 1:29 (NASB) The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
No human being can take away sins except the Lord Himself. JESUS is the Lord; He is Elohim. That is why He can remove the sins of humanity and the world.
Testimonies of Prophet Isaiah:
Isaiah 9:6 (NASB) For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Prophet Isaiah testifies that the Messiah is the Mighty God, He is the Father Himself.
Testimony of JESUS Himself:
Many people out there say, “If JESUS is God, where is the verse where JESUS himself acknowledges that He is God?”
Let’s read the following verse, John 13:13 (NASB) You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am.
JESUS did not deny or reject when His disciples declared Him as Lord. If He were not the Lord, He would have denied it from the beginning.
3. OTHER FACTS FROM THE EVIDENCES OF THE DIVINITY OF JESUS CHRIST
JESUS Can Forgive Sins:
Mark 2:5-7 (NASB) When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
JESUS is the Word who became flesh, and that Word is God Himself:
John 1:1 (NASB) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (NASB) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
JESUS Made the Nonexistent Exist, He Created Everything:
John 1:3 (NASB) All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
Romans 11:36 (NASB) For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
JESUS is the Creator Himself because He is the One who MADE EVERYTHING, including the universe. Glory belongs to Him forever.
JESUS Christ Existed Before Abraham:
John 8:58 (NASB) Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”
JESUS was not created; He is the Creator Himself. He existed before Abraham because He is the One who CREATED Abraham.
JESUS Christ Existed Before John the Baptist:
John 1:29 (NASB) The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
JESUS existed before John the Baptist because He is the One who CREATED John the Baptist.
JESUS Gave Sight to a Person Born Blind (John 9:1-41):
No prophet or apostle could perform such a miracle except for the LORD Himself. JESUS gave sight to a person who was born without eyes.
JESUS is the Almighty LORD, the Beginning and the End:
Revelation 1:8 (NASB) “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Only the LORD, the Almighty, can declare this. JESUS is Almighty because He is the LORD.
JESUS is the OWNER OF HEAVEN, only the OWNER OF HEAVEN can bring humans INTO HEAVEN and guarantee CERTAIN ENTRY INTO HEAVEN:
John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 10:28 (NASB) and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
JESUS ensures that everyone who BELIEVES IN HIM will not perish and will surely have ETERNAL LIFE, CERTAINLY ENTERING HEAVEN.
JESUS never sinned:
1 Peter 2:22 (NASB) He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth.
Hebrews 4:15 (NASB) For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
JESUS comes from HEAVEN, not from EARTH:
John 8:23-24 (NASB) And He was saying to them, “You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
JESUS does not have a BIOLOGICAL FATHER, He was born NOT through the seed of a man but through the HOLY SPIRIT:
Luke 1:31 (NASB) And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
Luke 1:34-35 (NASB) Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason, the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
Normally, humans are born through the union of a man and a woman. JESUS DOES NOT HAVE A BIOLOGICAL FATHER, MARY CONCEIVED while still a VIRGIN.
Based on the explanations from various pieces of evidence regarding the divinity of Jesus Christ, is it still not believed that JESUS is the Lord God Himself?
John 1:10 (NASB) He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
