In recent days there have been attacks that could be considered quite strange and inconsequential from irresponsible people who say that putting up a Christmas tree is prohibited in the Bible. Is it true that there is a verse in the Bible that prohibits pine or pine trees from being used as decorations in celebrations?
The answer is absolutely no! Let’s pay attention to the following verse :
Isaiah 60:13 (IMB) The glory of Lebanon will come to you, cypress trees, pines and cypress trees, to beautify My sanctuary, and I will make the place of My footstool glorified.
Isaiah 60:13 (WEB) “The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious.
God’s Word does not prohibit pine trees and pine trees from being used as decorations to beautify God’s sanctuary. And you can check that from the books of Genesis to Revelation, there is not a single verse where God forbids pine trees and cypress trees from being used as decoration in God’s house.
So the accusation is that there is a verse in the Bible that strictly prohibits Christmas trees. That’s not true at all.
