Ephesians 2:8-9 (IMB) By grace you have been saved through faith, not by yourselves, but by the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV) For by grace you have been saved through faith; it is not the result of yourselves, but it is the gift of God, it is not the result of works: let no one boast.
The salvation that we have obtained today in Christ JESUS is God’s gift, everything is God’s grace, not the result of our efforts and efforts, but everything is God’s gift alone.
If we as humans can seek salvation for ourselves through our good deeds, then it is no longer grace (grace) and humans will have a basis for boasting, but not in God.
God saved you not because you were very good, not because you were very pious, not because of your greatness and intelligence, JESUS saved you because He loved you very much, and He came for sinners so that everyone who believes in Him would be justified by faith.
People who are aware that the salvation they obtain is a gift from God and not the result of their efforts, then they will be people who know how to thank God and will not be careless in living their lives.
If today you still feel that the salvation you obtained was due to your own efforts, know that none of your efforts can save you. Only by God’s free grace (grace) have you been saved through your faith in JESUS Christ.
Romans 3:27-28 (IMB) So, is there any reason to boast? There isn’t any! Through what? Through actions? No, but through faith! Thus man is justified by faith, without keeping the law.
Romans 3:27-28 (ESV) If so, what is the basis for boasting? There isn’t any! Based on what? Based on actions? No, but based on faith! For we believe that man is justified by faith, and not because he keeps the law.
Romans 4:2-3 (IMB) For if Abraham had been justified by his works, then He could boast, but not before God. But what does the Scriptures say? “Abraham believed in God and it was counted as righteousness to him. “
Romans 4:2-3 (ESV) For if Abraham was justified by his works, then he would have reason to boast, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Then Abraham believed in God, and God imputed it to him as righteousness.”
